Outreach at St. Mark's

How we interact with the community is a reflection of our commitment to carrying Christ's Good News to the world. Through our outreach we strive to BE the CHURCH in our community.

At St. Mark's we host a Food Pantry the last Saturday of every month. Our neighbors receive pre-packed grocery and toiletry items from our food pantry generously stocked by members of St. Mark's and others. This ministry has grown over the years and is our defining outreach ministry at St. Mark's. Read about us in the Warwick Beacon here.

Community outreach is also stressed with our youth. Our youth invited to be  active participants in our food pantry. In honor of St. Nicholas new toys for children at the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center are collected in Advent.  We also give 10% of the proceeds of our Pumpkin Patch to EBC to support them in their work.

Our Prayer Shawl ministry meets twice a month to knit shawls for our sick and shut-ins as well as afghans for residents of EBC.

Please consider in which outreach ministry you might participate. And if you have any ideas for new ministry please let us know!
