Outreach

Reaching Our Neighbors, Being the Church

At St. Mark’s, we believe how we show up in our community is a direct reflection of our calling to carry Christ’s Good News into the world. Our outreach isn’t just something we do — it’s who we are.

Food Pantry
On the last Saturday of every month, we open our doors to neighbors in need. Each guest receives a pre-packed bag of groceries and toiletries, lovingly prepared through the generosity of St. Mark’s members and community friends. On any given day, we welcome 60–80 households — and that number is a testament to how much this ministry has grown. The Food Pantry has become the heartbeat of our outreach, and we’re grateful for every hand that makes it possible.

Youth in Service
We’re passionate about nurturing a spirit of generosity in our young people. Each Advent season, in honor of St. Nicholas, our youth collect new toys for children at the Elizabeth Buffum Chace (EBC) Center. We also donate 10% of proceeds from our annual Pumpkin Patch to EBC in support of their vital work.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Twice a month, our Prayer Shawl ministry gathers to knit shawls for the sick and homebound, and afghans for EBC residents — wrapping love and prayer into every stitch.
